Let's set the scene,
"On a cool spring day, heading for a walk into the forest can be a magical experience. A soft, shimmering mist catches the light filtering through moss-covered trees. Mushrooms litter the damp earth, and young ferns and spring blooms add bright pops of color against the leaves covering the ground. A glimmer of iridescent wings makes you wonder if dragonflies or fairies are fluttering by. It would be easy to spin tales of elves dwelling among the mushrooms or finding
a magical door down a hidden path."

KBshimmer-What The Fudge
For many, our first experience with elves was not learning that they were Santa’s helpers or reading about them in a woodland fairytale. We first saw them as cartoons in a hollow tree covering everything in chocolate! A walk through the woods became a hunt, as every tree could be a magical workshop where we could find those baking elves adding chocolatey stripes to cookies and covering graham crackers in fudge.
What The Fudge is a milk chocolate-colored crème polish. Shown here in 2 coats, plus top coat. Formula was good and applied well. $10.00
KBshimmer-No Illusions
There are few things more magical in the world than nature. From towering trees that you can drive through, bugs and birds so colorful they look surreal, to plants so powerful they can treat illnesses. All could be illusions and fantasies taken straight out of fairytales, but amazingly, are real!
No Illusions can be described as a bright teal that catches your eye and quickly shifts into a cool emerald. Shades of blue come out to play before morphing into grape and magenta purples. At some angles, you cancatch warm gold and orange tones. Shown here in 2 coats, plus top coat. Formula was good and applied well. Dries smoothly with no texture however a top coat is still recommended for a full, glossy finish. $11.00
KBshimmer-Mist Me
What is an enchanted forest without a waterfall? Tumbling water spills over rocks, creating a fine spray to form misty rainbows. Golden sunbeams warm the slate blue water, welcoming adventurous hikers ready for a refreshing break on the shores.
Mist Me nail polish echoes those churning waters with a light, slate blue-hued base. A warm, rose gold shimmer transforms to shades of copper and warm honey. Bright light will bring out the rainbow flame of linear holographic pigment. Shown here in 2 coats, plus top coat. Formula was good and applied well. Dries smoothly with no texture however a top coat is still recommended for a full, glossy finish. $11.00
While rambling through the woods, seeing a patch of colorful flowers is a beautiful sight. Lady Slippers, trilliums, violets, and asters tempt those who gaze upon their loveliness to gather up a bouquet. As hard as it is, the flowers must stay behind for others to enjoy.
I’d Pick You nail polish is a nod to those lovely flowers we leave behind. A pastel orchid crelly base is reminiscent of those woodland florals. Softly colored flakes show off hues of leaf green, goldenrod, peach, and at some angles, aqua. Lower light shows off these flakes to the fullest. Shown here in 3 coats, plus top coat. Formula was good and applied well. Dries with some texture so a top coat is needed for a full, glossy finish. $11.00
KBshimmer-Hidden Potential
Sometimes we stumble upon a path that looks plain: pounded earth, tall trees, and repetitive stones that litter the edges seem to be all there is to it. But then, shadows and light filter through the swaying trees, illuminating colorful florals, revealing twists in the path, and turning dew-covered leaves into prismatic gems, showing off the hidden potential for more beauty in the nature that surrounds us.
Hidden Potential nail polish starts with a warm violet hue that shows off a strong bronze to golden green shimmer in direct lighting. In indirect lighting, this polish truly comes to life, showing off a rainbow of hidden colors. Going from a warm, nearly red copper, to burnt orange to gold, shifting easily into hues of green, blue, and navy. Even purple pops out depending on the angle and lighting! Shown here in 2 coats, plus top coat. Formula was good and applied well. If you have more of a free edge than I do then you may need 3 coats for full opacity. Dries smoothly with no texture however a top coat is still recommended for a full, glossy finish. $11.00
KBshimmer-Frequent Flyer
Moving through the forest, a soft flutter grabs your attention. Glancing around, you see an iridescent glimmer in the broken beams of sunlight. Moving closer, you catch sight of a dragonfly, its shimmering wings moving, zipping through the air in an almost magical way. It would be easy to imagine those delicate, glimmering wings not belonging to dragonflies at all, but to petite sprites dancing among the ferns, making their homes among the moss-covered trees.
Frequent Flyer nail polish is a nod to those iridescent wings. Shimmering shades of golden champagne quickly morph into hues of spring green. Soft Aqua and blue tones come alive at different angles, while different lighting brings out hues of soft peach, rose, and violet. This polish can be worn on its own but layering it over a white or neutral base will bring out the complete pastel rainbow Frequent Flyer offers. Looking for a bolder color? A black base will show off jewel tones of gold, green and aqua.
Shown here in 3 coats, plus top coat. Formula was good and applied well. Dries smoothly with no texture however a top coat is still recommended for a full, glossy finish. $11.00
KBshimmer-Dawn To Earth
Connecting with the outdoors can be a calming experience. The crisp air is fresh and inviting, urging you to explore your surroundings. Moving deeper into the woods, the sounds of trees swaying, insects buzzing, and birds chirping are sweet. But one of the most special moments is catching the start of a new day. The warm rays of the sun turn the deep sky into a color show of crimson, fuchsia and gold before the bright blue morning sky makes itself fully known.
Dawn To Earth nail polish pays homage to the rising sun. A bright, cobalt blue jelly base boldly mimics the deep blue, early morning skies. A strong pink shimmer pops against the blue base showing of hues of fuchsia, rose, and in some lights, peach, and gold. Shown here in 2 coats, plus top coat. Formula was good and applied well. If you have more of a free edge than I do then you may need 3 coats for full opacity. Dries smoothly with no texture however a top coat is still recommended for a full, glossy finish. $11.00
In the deep forest, the sun hides behind the branches of tall trees. Daylight breaks through fluttering leaves, refracting beams of light to illuminate the shadow-filled forest. Where those beams miss, deep twilight hues are accented by budding flowers and bright ferns. Trees play a game, branching out to catch the sunlight while leaving enough for the flora and fauna to flourish below.
Branching Out is a tri-thermal that echoes the hues of a dimly lit forest. When cold, a deep, near navy indigo color sets off a gamut of flakes that shift from a lime gold, to spring green, and aqua blue. As your fingers warm, a dusty periwinkle shade gives way to a blue-leaning mint. Shown here in 2 coats, plus top coat. Formula was good and applied well. Dries with some texture so a top coat is needed for a full, glossy finish. Transitions easily. $11.00
KBshimmer-Amanita Moment
Mushroom foraging can be a challenging game of hide and seek. Edible mushrooms blend in with fallen leaves and downed trees, while pops of red and white color the forest floor with poisonous toadstools. Those bright amanita fungi with red caps are so whimsical, they must be the homes of fairy folk and gnomes!
Amanita Moment nail polish is a nod to the fungi of fairy tales. Described as a soft, sage green crelly that provides a creamy base for this flakie filled polish. Color shifting flakes easily show off hues of red, orange and gold while swimming with a similar color shifting shimmer. In low or indirect lighting, the flakes show off hues of green. Shown here in 3 coats, plus top coat. Formula was good and applied well. Dries with some texture so a top coat is needed for a full, glossy finish. $11.00
