Gothic Gala Lacquer | Fezzes Are Cool Collection

Description:

A muted dusty pink with gold and holo undertones. Inspired by Cassandra O'Brien, who was a former human in the far future.  Her life was extended through a series of seven hundred and eight plastic surgery operations, until she was nothing but a piece of skin stretched onto a frame with eyes and a mouth, connected to a brain in a jar below. The skin had to be constantly moisturized to keep it from drying out. Retails for $9.25

Formula & Application:

I applied two coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good and applied well. Does dry slightly textured so a top could would be needed for a smooth finish.

Gothic Gala Lacquer-Astrid

Description:

A rich blue with silver sparkle. Inspired by Astrid Peth, a native of the planet Sto who worked as a waitress aboard the Space ship Titanic. Died to save the Doctors life, but was de-materialized by an automatic function of her teleport bracelet. Using the advanced transmit system, the Doctor tried to recover Astrid, but only succeeded in creating a partially cohesive form, neither truly alive nor dead, trapped in a non-corporeal form for all eternity. He allowed her atoms to scatter into space, fulfilling her dream of travelling the galaxy. Retails for $9.25

Formula & Application:

I applied two coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good and applied easily. Very opaque on the first coat so  only did a second for good measure.

Gothic Gala Lacquer-The Box

Description:

A cobalt blue jelly. Inspired by the T.A.R.D.I.S, which is the primary space-time vehicle used by the Doctor. "TARDIS" is an acronym for "Time And Relative Dimension In Space". The TARDIS had the ability to blend into it's surroundings once it landed. If working properly that is, The Doctors chameleon circuit broke so it got stuck looking like a Police Box. Retails for $9.00

Formula & Application:

I applied two coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Very sheer first coat but built up well by the second.

Gothic Gala Lacquer-Smaller on the Outside

Description:

A blue jelly, with holo micro glitter and blue flakies. Inspired by the inside of the T.A.R.D.I.S. which is bigger on the inside due to Dimensional transcendentalism which is the state wherein an object's interior is bigger than its exterior, an effect made possible by transdimensional engineering. The Doctor described this as "a key Time Lord discovery". so pretty much, in the words of Rory Williams, the inside is "another dimension". Retails for $9.25

Formula & Application:

I applied two coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was on the thicker side but still very manageable to apply. 

Gothic Gala Lacquer-Floor 500

Description:

Black base with a deep purple shimmer.In some light this reflects blue. Inspired by floor 500 on Satellite Five. Satellite Five had been taken over by the Jagrafess on Floor 500. The Jagrafess's human associate, killed journalists and reanimated their corpses via their chip implants to work for him. Ultimately the Ninth Doctor,  Rose Tyler and Cathica Santini Khadeni, reversed the environmental systems. The Jagrafess overheated, swelled up and exploded.  But by the year 200,100,100 years later, Satellite Five became a Game Station, Floor 500 had been converted into the control room where several members of staff controlled each game show(deadly game shows). During the Battle of the Game Station, the Ninth Doctor used this floor as his command post. When Rose assumed the Bad Wolf entity, she arrived in the TARDIS at Floor 500 and turned every Dalek to dust, including the Dalek Emperor. Retails for $9.25

I applied two coat to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was very opaque, Second coat was for good measure.

Gothic Gala Lacquer-Adipose

Description:

A very pale nude, almost white crelly with a pink shimmer. Inspired by Young Adipose which were hand-sized, marshmallow-shaped beings, composed almost entirely of fat. Retails for $9.25

Formula & Application:

I applied two coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good and applied well.

Overall Thoughts:

Of course I enjoyed this collection! I am OBSESSED with all things Doctor Who so I had fun trying out each of these polishes. Formulas were all good and applied well which was a huge plus! Are you a Doctor Who fan? Which of these polishes is your favorite?
