Hey guys! Any fellow Trekkies out there???? If so then you are going to love Junes Nouveau Geek Box, The Star Trek Edition!! This box consist of 6 polishes made by 5 makers all themed around the great Star Trek! So let's join Captain Picard and his crew and explore the galaxy and defend the United Federation of Planets! hehe!
Bohemian Polish-Unlimited Data
Unlimited Data is described as a shimmery, frosty off-white polish with gold flecks and flakes. I applied two coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good and applied. Due to it being a shimmery frost type polish you do have to be mindful of your brush strokes as to not create uneven streaks.
Unlimited Data is inspired by everyone's favorite android, Data!
Turtle Tootsie Polish-Klingon
Klingon is described as a brown holo polish with brown micro glitter and a golden shimmer. I applied three thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was on the thin side but built up by the third coat.
Klingon is inspired by the antagonizing villains in the Star Trek series!
Cinema Swatch Lacquer-Locutus of Borg
Locutus of Borg is described as a black crelly base filled with blue toned shimmer, navy and fantasy blue flakies. I applied two coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was a little thick to do all the flakies but still easy to apply.
Locutus of Borg is inspired by Captain Picard's assimilation by the Geiger-esque alien race, the Borg.
Lollipop Posse Lacquer-Stardate 41153.7
Stardate 41153.7 is described as a scattered silver holographic with blue shimmer and dark blue microglitter. I applied two coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good and applied well. Dries to a textured finish so a glossy top coat is recommended for a smooth finish.
Startdate 41153.7 is named for the Stardate given during the first TNG episode, Encounter at Farpoint.
Blacklace Cosmetics-The Only Redshirt That Didn’t Die Because He Wore Orange
The Only Red shirt That Didn’t Die Because He Wore Orange is described as a an orange-red shimmery color that has a touch of holo. I applied three thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula applied like a jelly and has a lovely yellow gold shift.
The Only Red Shirt That Didn't Die Because He Wore Orange is inspired by this photo!
Bohemian Polish-Deep Space Fine
Deep Space Fine is described as a a linear topcoat with added holographic glitter in blue and purple hues to make your nails "holo-decked" out! I used it here alone with three thin coats. Applied great and has a great linear rainbow.
Overall, I enjoyed all 6 polishes and had a blast going down memory lane with all the Star Trek references and characters! I think each maker did great with their inspirations and created fun polishes. I am definitely in the mood to go Netflix binge Star Trek now haha!
