Hi guys! So it's day 2 of Nail Heroes(manis inspired by our favorite nail artists, nail tools, polish ect.) week for Digital Dozen and today I decided on doing a post and mani on one of my favorite products! The UberChic Mat!
The mat is great for numerous reasons! Below is the list they give you one their website.
"1. Easily test out color combos on your mat
2. Protect your table from stains and spills
3. Simple Cleanup: Acetone and Nail Polish Remover proof
4. Create easy peasy stamping decals
5. Reverse stamp like a boss
6. Super flexible for easy cleanup and storage
7. Dry Marble and Dry “Water” Marble like a pro (without the mess!)
8. It’s food-grade so you could literally eat off of it
9. Makes you feel 20% more chic
10. We just put this in here because we know we haven't covered everything you can do with this..."
Just like stated above, The main reason I originally purchased this was because I am the queen of acetone, polish and paint spills and I was seriously sick of ruining the surfaces I was working on. It is indeed super easy to use, clean and store away as well. But after a few days of using it, the main reason I ended up loving it is because of all the creative ways of using it for nail art! My favorite being, decals! And that's what I want to show you today!
I used the Uberchic mat to create 2 different decals for my middle nail. It made achieving this mani easier, quicker and less messy. Instead of applying the vinyls/stencils directly to my nails I simply applied the vinyls to the mat like so.
I LOVE that I'm able to have more control of how I use vinyls instead of just applying them to my nails and hoping I line everything up properly. Plus I know in my case at least, that sometimes when you pull the vinyl/stencil off it leaves some unwanted polish in places and its kind of a pain to have to clean that up by painting over it. But if you use the Uberchic mat and that happens you can simply use a small amount of acetone on a brush to clean the edges of the image before applying it to your nail.
Polishes and Products Used:

Whats Up Nails-Wave Vinyls
Twinkled T-Elephant Vinyls
Wet'n'Wild-Matte top Coat
There is SO much more you can do with the mat that this post could go on for days but it can't soooo If you don't already have one I highly recommend grabbing one to test out yourself! They are reasonably priced, $13.99, and Uberchic has pretty fast shipping as well! I plan on actually purchasing another soon to use when I'm mixing my polishes for my shop because that would save me a ton on clean up time haha!
Do you already have a Uberchic mat? If so what is your favorite thing about it?
Well thanks for stopping by! Until Next Time! XO
