Hello there loves! So today I have my first ever guest post to share with you! woot woot! This is a new segment I will be doing once a month where I have a swatcher(non-blogger) dip their toes into blogging! And this months segment comes at the perfect time since I'm still not feeling well and didn't have the energy to really write any post for today! So everyone meet Jamy!!

Hi everyone! This is Jamy (aka @jamylyn_nails on Instagram) and I am excited to share some quick swatches with you today!
I purchased two bottles of Great Lakes Lacquer a couple of weeks ago. Great Lakes Lacquer is a new indie brand based in Michigan. Since I just moved to Michigan, I thought it would be nice to support a local brand. Plus, all of the swatches by @honeybee_nails looked amazing!
First up is 'The Fashion Artist' - a rich blurple creme packed with aqua/pink shifting shimmery flakies. I used two thicker coats plus top coat. I found the formula of this one to be good, although slightly on the thicker side. Clean up was easy and I was surprised that this deep of a blue didn't stain my cuticles! I thought this polish was very pretty and I loved the pink flashes that would pop when my fingers shifted underneath the light.
The second polish I have is 'Sleeping Bear Dunes' - a teal linear holographic creme with green shimmer. I applied two easy coats plus top coat. The formula here was great and the polish glided onto my nails smoothly. I thought this polish was beautiful and the green shimmer really takes it up a notch. I am a huge fan of all things holo and this is no exception.
Overall, I was very pleased with my first Great Lakes Lacquers. I don't own any other indies that use this particular bottle, which is interesting to me. The one VERY small criticism I have is that the polishes have a strong smell to them. I will admit that I am much more sensitive than most people, so it is quite possible that I am in the minority here. Otherwise, these polishes are lovely and I look forward to trying more beauties from Great Lakes Lacquer in the future!
Thanks to Cheyenne for asking me to guest post this week. I hope you all have a fantastic day!
