Hello my fellow Nail Crazies!
It's the start of a new week! I had a nice and relaxing weekend, Had a date day with the hubs and then spent the rest of the weekend swatching! Which brings us to this next collection! Let me introduce to you the Lost in Story Brooke Collection made by KicKass Beauty. This collection is themed around one of my favorite shows called Once Upon a Time and it consist of 8 polishes. Because there are so many polishes I'm going to be straight to the point in my reviews so this post isn't too long. Let's get right to it!
First we have The Believer. The Believer is a sheer blue jelly with holo silver and blue glitters in numerous shapes and sizes. I used 3 coats and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good but some fishing was needed for the larger glitters.
Next is Evil. Evil is a medium purple jelly with white and light purple glitters in numerous shapes and sizes. I used 3 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. The polish itself was good but fishing was needed for these glitters but it may have been because I was using mini bottles.
Third is Magic Hearts. Magic Hearts is a orangish red glow in the dark polish with tiny holo glitter. I used 3 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good and applied easily.
Next is The Charmings. The Charmings is a aqua polish with tiny holo glitter. I used 3 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good and applied well.
Fifth is The Savior. The Savior is a deep red polish with tiny holo glitter. I used 3 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Just like "The Charmings" it had a good formula and applied well.
Next is Frozen Assets. Frozen Assets is a thermal blue polish with holo glitters as well as snowflakes. I used 3 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good but I had to do a lot of fishing and placement with the snowflakes. The thermal was pretty as well.
Seventh is The Pirate. The Pirate is a sheer black jelly with holo silver and black glitters in numerous shapes and sizes. I used 3 coats and sealed it with a glossy top coat. Formula was good but fishing was needed for the larger hexes.
Last up is Captain Swan. Captain Swan is a clear glitter topper that consist of red, gold, black and silver glitters in numerous shapes and sizes including skulls and hearts. I appled one coat using the sponge method then applied a second coat using the dabbing method, sealed it with a glossy top coat. As with most glitter toppers with heavy glitters I did have to do some fishing with the larger glitters(hearts and skulls) as well as some placement.
Overall, I think Kassy themed each polish perfectly, if you watch the show then you know what I mean. I do wish I didnt have to do so much fishing with the polishes that contained glitters but like I stated above, that could have been because I was swatching from mini bottles. Until Next Time!
