Happy Friday my fellow nail crazies!
TGIF!! woot woot! What is everyone's plans for the weekend? I'm planning on spending my weekend in with the hubs and catching up on some nail stuff. The weekend weather in my area calls for high humidity, high temps and thunderstorms so staying in with my air conditioner sounds good to me!
Anyways, Today I have the next collection I was sent by Duh Nail Polish. This beautiful collection is called "Sultry Summertime" and is being released today! Along with her "Tasty Treats" collection which you can find reviews for here. So get ready for some sultry beauties!
First up is When Skies Are Gray. When Skies Are Gray is a creamy gray crelly with tiny white, black and brown glitters as well as ultrafine dust. I used 2 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with Glossy Glam top coat. The formula was really good and applied well. It's a very opaque polish so you only need 1 to 2 coats depending on how you apply it. It had this marble type look to it, like a marble counter top or floor ect. I love the outcome of this, especially because I love how gray polishes look with my skin tone. haha
Next is Boudoir Beautified. Boudoir Beautified is a maroon jelly with pink hexes as well as ultrafine glitter. I used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with Glossy Glam top coat. The photos make this polish look more pink then it is in person, in person it has a sexier dark shade to it and it also has an violet highlight in certain lighting. Good formula and applied okay, it was a tiny bit thick but with a light hand it applies well.
Last up is Slate Of Mind. Slate Of Mind is a dark teal almost gray creme with ultrafine glitter. I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with Glossy Glam top coat. A very smooth formula and applied easily. This is my favorite from the entire collection as well as my favorite indie I now own so far! I am in-love with this color as well as the formula. I don't own a polish like this at all in my collection. It's pretty and unique! Slate of Mind was not at all what I was expecting this polish to look like, im inlove! haha
Overall I loved everyone of these polishes. The colors are so different then what you normally see for a summer collection but has a very sultry, sexy, classic look to them , hence the name haha!
