Good Morning my fellow Nail Crazies!
Holy crap this past week has been crazy busy! I had so much going on last week and weekend, Between my husband being on staycation, my little brother graduating and then my friends who live up north coming down for the weekend I barely had anytime to get nail stuff done! But I'm determined to get some swatching/blogging done as well as some nail art challenges this week before this coming weekends shannannagins (little brothers graduation party).
Now on to the first review for the week! Today I bring you 4 pretty thermal polishes from the "Summer Sorbet" Collection made by Sassy Cats Lacquer. Those who read my blog regularly know if the polish is named after a food/drink it means Cheyenne must own it asap so I was extremely excited to get my hands on these food themed babies! Let's get started!
First up we have Honeydew. Honeydew is a thermal transition polish that goes from a pearly lime to teal and consist of some super fine shimmer and tiny teal specks. I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows Top coat. Formula was really good and went on evenly. Color wise this is my favorite of the collection, it was such a pretty teal/aqua mixed color. Thermal wise, the transition was very, very subtle. Personally I prefer a more noticeable transition. It was so subtle that I could barely capture it on camera.
Second we have Cotton Candy. Cotton Candy is a creamy thermal transition polish that goes from baby blue to cotton candy blue with very fine shimmer. I used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows Top coat. This one had the best formula and application out of the entire collection. So creamy and went on perfectly! The transition was subtle like "Honeydew" but not as subtle. I was able to capture the change a bit more with my camera. A cotton candy blue when cool and a baby blue when warm.
Next up is Raspberry. Raspberry is a thermal transition polish that goes from a light pinkish purple to plum with super fine shimmer. I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows Top coat. Formula and consistency were great and it went on evenly. This is my second favorite color from the collection. Transition in this one was good! A plum purple when cold and a pastel purple to pink when cool.
Last is my favorite from the collection, Peach Mango. Peach Mango is a thermal transition polish that goes from a peach to a creamy yellow and contains very fine shimmer. I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows Top coat. Just like "Cotton Candy" the formula and consistency were really good and application was great! The transition in Peach Mango is amazing! Coral Peach when cool and a creamy yellow when warm.
Overall I give this collection a 4 out of 5 stars. The formulas and consistencies were all really great, and as just straight up polish colors they were super pretty but for thermals only two of them had noticeable transitions, which some people may actually prefer but I personally like noticeable change in my thermals. You can order these polishes in 4 ways. Each of these polishes are sold for $10 and you can also order them in collection form as well as minis. Don't forget to check out her site and Instagram for restock updates! Until next time!
