Happy Happy Hump Day! Another long week is half way over! woo hoo! As you can probably tell, I am feeling better! Not 100% but compared to how I have been feeling the past couple weeks this is nothing! lol Doctor visit yesterday morning answered a lot of questions and I am now finally taking the next step into figuring out how to manage my health issue. Anxiety wise I am so relieved and relaxed and for the first time in weeks I was able to do these swatches and have fun doing them! So let's start!
Today I have some swatches and reviews of Dashing Housewife Polish summer collection called "Worth The Tan Lines". This collection consist of 4 crellys and 1 glitterbomb.
First up is One Hot Momma. One Hot Momma is a hot pink base with purple shifting flakes and blue glitters! I used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. The formula was great and so wasn't the application, it is very high pigmented so you may only need one coat depending on how you apply your polishes. Okay, you all know I am not a pink polish person but DAMN! This Pink though! Seriously guys, I am in love with this crelly. The hot pink and purple glitter combo makes this such a fun summer polish. This beauty is my favorite from the collection. The pink was so bright that my camera couldn't actually capture it right. It's a more neon hot pink in person.
Next is Purple Hooter Shooter. Purple Hooter Shooter is a medium purple crelly with micro turquoise flakes! I used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. It is so hard to pick favorites in this collection but this one is at the top, obviously, hello! It's Purple! haha But in all seriousness I absolutely love this shade of purple and the turquoise glitters were the icing on the cake. It contains 2 of my favorite colors in one polish. Formula and application were great.
Third is Beachin' Blue. Beachin' Blue is a bright blue crelly with white squares and black squares and hex glitters of various sizes! I used 2 coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. Just like "One Hot Momma" it's highly pigmented so depending on how you apply your polishes you may only need one coat. This blue is amazing! It is so deep but bright at the same time and the glitter only makes it that much better! The formula was great and application was easy. This is my second favorite from the collection and probably also my favorite that I have ever swatched of hers. Its the perfect blue crelly!
Next is Caribbean Crush. Caribbean Crush is a dark turquoise almost green crelly with blue shifting flakes! I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. Formula was great and application was very smooth and even. I love how in certain lighting the deep turquoise changes to a blueish color. In my opinion, this is a pretty unique turquoise polish. I have yet to come across a turquoise of this shade.
Last is Sterling Stud. Sterling Stud a clear glitter topper that has silver sparkle with black and white glitters in various sizes! I used 2 coats to achieve about 90% opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. I was afraid if I did 3 coats it would make the polish too thick which would make it prone to cracking and peeling. Formula was good and application was pretty easy. I did have to apply the coats using the dabbing method. I love the unique look it gives. It's not like most white and black "cookies n' cream" looking glitter bombs. The silver gives it an edge that I really enjoy.
I also did a swatch using Sterling Stud as a topper. I used 1 dabbing coat over Daily Hues Lacquer "Cira". Again, I love the edgy looks it gives the mani.
Overall I give this collection a 5 out of 5 stars! DreAnn came back from her new baby Hiatus with a bang! This is by far my favorite collection of hers I have had the honor to swatch so far! Not only were the formulas and application great but the color combos and unique ideas make this a stand out summer collection. You can get these beauties for $8.00 each or for $32.00 for the entire collection. I highly suggest adding them to your polish collection!!
Until Next time!
