Happy hump day! We're at the middle of the week, only a few more days till weekend! whoo hoo!! Today is also my hubbys birthday!! We're getting old! haha Anywho, today I have some reviews for Duh Nail Polish and boy let me tell you how excited I was to receive these babies! As soon as Danyl started leaking sneak peaks of these I was hooked! They looked so gorgeous and fun and seemed perfect for summer! So without further ado! Here is the "Summer Lovin" collection!
First up is "My future's So Bright". A creamy yellow jelly crelly mix with small yellow glitters and ultrafine sparkle. I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. This reminded me of the glistening sun in the middle of the summer day. Has just enough glitter to make it have a subtle sparkle. Formula was good and went on pretty evenly as well.
Second is "Close But not Q-White". A creamy white polish with ultrafine sparkle. I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. The formula was great and application was smooth. This actually reminded me of a wedding dress and as most people know summer is the biggest season for weddings so any bride to bes out there or anyone attending a wedding this summer should pick up one of these polishes! Usually I get nervous with white based polishes because pretty much every white base(excluding straight up crellys) always streak when you paint it on and this one did nothing of the sort! Definitely plan on using this under a lot of manis instead of a plain white polish from now on! haha
Next is "Follow Me on Lou-Tube". A deep lavender crelly jelly mix with aqua blue glitters in numerous sizes and ultrafine sparkle. I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. 3 out of 6 of these polishes are named after her nieces and this is one of them. This of course was one of my personal favorites because well, its purple! haha Everyone who reads my blogs knows purple is my favorite color and to make it even better it also contains my second favorite color, Aqua! My perfect colored polish! haha! The formula, application and the fact that no fishing was needed was the icing on the cake!
Fourth is "Hands off My Sorbet". A bright pink crelly jelly mix with baby pink glitters and ultrafine sparkle. I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. As soon as I started applying this polish to my nails it made me think of an ice cold strawberry sorbet or slushy type dessert! mmm, yummy! Me and my obsession with food/drink named polishes! haha The formula was a little thick so be sure to let dry for 5-8min between coats to avoid clumping. Definitely a fun pink for summer and for all you pink polish lovers!
Fifth is "Hailey Bug". A red jelly polish with black glitters in numerous sizes and ultrafine sparkle. I used 3 thin coats to achieve full opacity and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. It's a lady bug in polish form! ahhh! haha I love this polish so much, not only is the formula great but also because it is lady bug themed so it reminds me of my grandmother who loved everything and anything lady bug related. The application was great although I did need to do a little fishing for the larger circle glitters. This is by far my favorite from the collection! This is also the second in the collection inspired by one of Danyls nieces.
Last from the collection is "Sweet D". A glitter topper with teal, purple and silver glitters. I used 1 dabbing coat over "Close But Not Q-White" and sealed it with GlistenandGlows top coat. The third in the collection named after one of her nieces. This was my 3rd favorite from this collection. The teal and purple glitter mix completely pulled me in haha! The formula was great, no fishing was needed and application was easy! This can also be worn alone, without an undie, as shown on my accent nail. Perfect for glitter lovers!
Overall I give the entire collection 4 out of 5 stars! The formulas and consistency were great and I love how the colors were all so perfect for summer! These will be available this Friday May 23rd so don't forget to mark your calenders!
Hope everyone has a great day! Till next time!
